Raya Power Inc (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built Raya Power (“the App”) to help you set up, monitor, and control your Raya systems. This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored securely).
Device information. To provide the service, we collect information from and about your connected devices, such as device identifiers and model, firmware version, and the readings your devices report — for example power and energy usage, temperature, on/off state, and event or fault logs.
Technical information. We may collect basic technical data such as your phone's operating system version, app version, IP address, and crash and diagnostic logs to keep the App working and fix problems.
Permissions the App uses
Bluetooth. Used to find and set up nearby Raya devices. We do not use Bluetooth to determine your location.
Local network. Used to communicate with your devices on your local network so you can control them and see their status.
Notifications (optional). If you allow them, we send notifications about your devices, such as alerts. You can turn these off at any time in your phone's settings.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- set up your devices and connect them to your network;
- let you monitor and control your devices;
- provide, maintain, and improve the App and our service;
- send you important service messages and, if enabled, device alerts;
- keep the App and your account secure and troubleshoot problems.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to host and operate the App and its cloud services (for example, cloud hosting and IoT connectivity providers). They may process data on our behalf and only for us.
- Legal reasons. We may share information if required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed, unless we are required to keep it by law.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time.
